Hale Hui Kai #108

The Hale Hui Kai is a special place and I am sorry that this unit has some issues. All of my belongs that were in drawers now have a very musty smell and after 2 washings I cannot get it out. I have to be honest in saying I can't stand that smell. I think there is a humidity issue in that unit. The air conditioning units in the primary bedroom and kitchen are placed so that the cold air blows on you when you're trying to read in bed and eating at the table. The refrigerator had a leak and I called the second or third day, of my two week stay, to let someone know about it. Water would puddle on the top shelf and the drawer under that shelf so nothing could be stored in it. I had to mop it up 3 or 4 times, the last time I mopped up 2 measuring cups of water. The drawer can't be removed because the swing is on the wrong side of the refrigerator and the door can't be opened to clear the drawer. My daughter and her family were in one of the other units and there was no smell in their unit. Also, one of the lovely things about the ground floor units are the back patio areas. All of the units except this one have "trunks" for storage of chairs, sand toys etc. I had to clean up the patio and organize all of the stuff that was put there so it wouldn't look so messy and take up the space it did. There are some things that need to be tossed. I feel like this unit is a little bit tired and needs some improvements, not a lot but important ones. I'm sorry I can't give a 5 star review here because I do love this facility. I believe these are things that can be taken care of. I would recommend staying here but not in this unit, 108.

First off, we’ve stayed at this property more times than I can count. We were very disappointed this time around. 108 should have NEVER been rented in this condition. We arrived at night and the door was wide open with the cleaning cart out front. The unit had not been completely cleaned. The duvet cover in the master bedroom had stains all over it, the sheets were ripped on the ends, there was a hole in the drywall in the guest bath, and the towels were all mismatched and old. The management company offered to have the cleaners come in and clean but didn’t show up until days later. They informed us that this unit had water damage and didn’t have time to repair the drywall where they had cut it out. Not to mention the musty water smell the entire stay. We payed a premium price for Spring Break along with unit 109 for my sister's family. We payed the same price for both units. 109 was newly renovated so it was worth the price but 108 even with a slight view was not worth the money. Do not rent this unit!

This unit was so well appointed and the access out to Keawakapu Beach was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and can not wait to visit again.

Loved the place. Small ocean view from the window. It was easy to go for a swim in the ocean and return because it was on the first floor.

Some of us got separated from our family on August 8th and after spending the night in our car we found the Hale Hui Kai property ( love the old school Vacancy sign out front!). Jessie and the team took us in and were so flexible as we waited to hear from our loved ones. Thank You.

As for the property, I think it represents great value. Very charming in an old school way right on a great beach with great sunsets.

Overall, we had an amazing stay in room 108! Upon arrival, we were informed that the AC/mini-splits required service/cleaning, so we were unfortunately without AC for a couple of days, but a small price to pay for living in paradise.

We had such a wonderful time at this property. The location and convenience of everything was amazing. The night before we checked out condo 106 had a water alarm going off from 10pm till 10am. For our family this was a bummer because it was so close to our room and didn’t stop we had a very difficult time sleeping that whole night. Other than that we had a great time!

Recently we had the pleasure of staying at the breathtaking Hale Hui Kai in Maui, and I can confidently say that it was an absolute dream come true.
First and foremost, the location of Hale Hui Kai is simply unbeatable. Situated right on the stunning shores of South West of Maui, we were treated to a magnificent ocean view and soothing sound of waves crashing against the shore. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping and enjoying a cup of coffee on the charming patio was an absolute delight. The pristine white sand of Keawakapu beach was just steps away, allowing to indulge in daily walks, swims, and mesmerizing sunsets.
The accommodations at Hale Hui Kai were nothing short of remarkable. A spacious beautifully furnished condo equipped with all the comforts of home, fully stocked kitchen, convenient beach access and complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas, making it easy to fully enjoy the stunning surroundings.
Furthermore, the proximity of Hale Hui Kai to popular attractions and dining options was a major advantage. Its convenient proximity to major attractions is making it the perfect base for exploring the island. Whether we wanted to explore the vibrant town of Kihei or embark on adventures such as snorkeling or hiking, everything was conveniently located within a short distance.
In conclusion, Hale Hui Kai is a true gem in Maui. From the breathtaking location and exquisite accommodations to the outstanding hospitality and convenient amenities, our stay was nothing short of extraordinary. I wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone seeking a peaceful escape from the bustling city life and a rejuvenating vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stayed at this well appointed condo. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped with a lovely peekaboo view of the ocean. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect for Young Family

I have stayed at Hale Hui Kai before and I love the complex. It's a perfect low-key vacation spot!

Very nice vacation. Maui is beautiful and this condo complex was right on the beach so we could walk out, plop down our chairs and be right at the ocean.

Our rental unit was as advertised: right on the beach, quiet, clean, and a very restful location. I would highly recommend this rental, and I plan to return again!
